Brand Description

TekMat began on a whim when Dan, inventor of TekMat, was cleaning his AR-15 on his dining room table using his wife’s dish towel as a gun cleaning mat. After many ruined towels, she got fed up and bought him an official gun cleaning mat. The gun cleaning mat she purchased was little more than a long piece of felt. It stained easy, it wouldn’t stay in place on the table, and little pieces of fiber kept getting stuck on the greased parts of the gun. This is when Dan decided to make the best gun cleaning mat.

The mat that Dan designed is what is now known as a TekMat. It has a soft thermoplastic fiber surface that will protect your firearm and won’t stain from grease and oil. The neoprene rubber substrate gives TekMat the padding you need to keep your gun, as well as your kitchen table, safe from dings and scratches. And to take it one step further, TekMat was designed with an exploded parts diagram of your firearm so you could take the gun apart to clean it, as well as put it back together without ever having to try and find the owner’s manual. TekMat's use a dye-sublimation printing process which embeds the ink into the surface material so you don’t have to worry about the printing coming off the mat. We consistently add new firearm models and update the older styles as manufacturers update their designs.

Item Availability Status

When shopping for TEK MAT products with us, you will notice different availability statuses for our items. Each status indicates the current availability and ordering options for that goods. Here is what each level represents:

Available

product marked as "Available" mean that these TEK MAT items are in stock in the local warehouse (Australia) and are ready for immediate shipment. Once an order is placed, it will be shipped the same day or the next working day.

Available Allow 21 Days

Items marked as "Available (Allow 21 Days)" mean that these TEK MAT items are currently in stock at the Brownells Grinnell IOWA warehouse (USA) and are shipped from there to our local warehouse in Australia. Once they arrive, the goods will be shipped to your shipping address immediately. This entire process will take approximately 21 days.

Backorder Only

TEK MAT products marked as "Backorder Only" mean that these products are currently not available in the Brownells Grinnell IOWA warehouse (USA) and the local warehouse in Australia. luckily it is available on backorder, which means it will be available at the Brownells Grinnell IOWA warehouse (USA) soon. but we are unable to provide the exact availability date of the goods.

In this case, we offer two options.

1. Place an Order

if you want, you can place an order. Once the product becomes available in the Brownells Grinnell IOWA warehouse (USA), orders will be shipped from there to our local warehouse in Australia. Once they arrive, the goods will be shipped to your shipping address immediately.

2. Use Notify Me Option

Wherever you see an item status as "Backorder Only", you will see a "Notify Me" button next to that status. You can sign up to receive notifications by email through the Notify Me form. Once the product becomes available, we will inform you so that you can easily place an order.

Out of Stock, No Backorder

Items marked as "Out of Stock, No Backorder" mean that these TEK MAT products are currently unavailable for purchase. This indicates that these products are not available in the Brownells Grinnell IOWA warehouse (USA) and our local warehouse in Australia.

In this case, you can use a "Notify Me" option.
